While most brands would be ecstatic to reach 10 million vehicle sales and call it a day, Kia went beyond that and decided to give back to properly celebrate.
“To thank our customers for their support, Kia wants to give back in meaningful ways by helping those in need. We hope the positive impact of these donations will resonate for years to come,” said Sean Yoon, president & CEO of Kia North America and Kia America.
Monti Charoenphong is now the proud owner of a Runway Red all-electric EV6, which happened to be the 10 millionth vehicle sold by Kia in the U.S. To mark the occasion, Kia gifted the vehicle to Ms. Charoenphong — free of charge. In addition, Kia donated $10,000 each to non-profit organizations like Freedom Service Dogs of America, Alzheimer’s Association, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.
Kia makes more than 300,000 vehicles each year at its West Point Assembly Plant in Georgia. This includes popular models like the award-winning Telluride, the fifth-generation Sportage, and the fourth-generation Sorento.
