Kia introduced the all-new, all-electric EV6 early last year as part of its Plan S strategy of offering an eco-friendlier lineup. At Monterey Car Week in August, Kia unveiled the EV6 GT — a supercharged version of the already-impressive EV.
The Kia EV6 GT is powered by a dual-motor e-AWD powertrain. This includes a 77.4-kWh Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese battery pack, a front-mounted 160 kW motor, and a rear-mounted 270 kW motor. But what does that mean for you? Believe it or not, you could achieve up to 576 horsepower and 546 lb-ft of torque!
Not only that, but third-party company AMCI did independent testing that found that the EV6 GT outperformed the Ferrari Roma and the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder RWD in regards to acceleration.
In addition to breathtaking performance, the new EV6 GT also introduces three new drive modes: GT Drive Mode, My Drive Mode, and Drift Mode. These new settings let you optimize performance, customize your preferences, and distribute power to the rear wheels, respectively.
The design of the EV6 GT has also been elevated, with exterior accents to match its thrilling performance. The front has a unique fascia and as you move to the side of the vehicle, you’ll find neon accents and 21-inch wheels. Inside the cabin are racing-inspired bucket sport bucket seats and neon green dashboard accents.
The all-new Kia EV6 GT is expected to go on sale by the end of this year. Contact our team at Gossett Kia in Memphis, Tennessee, for more details!
