Top Tennessee Winter Destinations

Whether you’re staying near Memphis or planning on heading out on a road trip, there are plenty of entertaining places to visit in The Volunteer State this winter.

Christmas at Graceland

The iconic home of rock legend Elvis Presley goes all out for the holiday season. From Nov. 18, 2021 to Jan. 9, 2022, the estate is decked out with beautiful lights and decorations. Special holiday tours of the Graceland Mansion occur from Dec. 1-20. Other fun events that happen include concerts featuring top stars and a gorgeous lighting ceremony.

Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood

One of the biggest draws to the Pigeon Forge area is the Dollywood theme park. During winter, the park celebrates the holidays and beyond with performances from bands, carolers, and more. Try to plan your visit on a Merry & Bright Holiday Fireworks show night where the sky is list up while holiday classics play over the speakers. And who knows? You may even run into the legendary Dolly Parton herself while walking around the park!

Tennessee Valley Railroad’s North Pole Adventures

Have you ever wanted to feel like you were in the movie The Polar Express? Consider stopping by the Tennessee Valley Railroad in Chattanooga for its yearly North Pole Christmas Train rides. These magical experiences began in late November and run through Dec. 23. While on the train, you’ll be treated to hot chocolate and cookies while little ones can write a letter to Santa.
